Ryan Malloy | Principal Technical Agent
Hello, thanks for taking the time to learn more about me. I have a compulsion passion for solving problems that most people wouldn't touch. Whether it's untangling a tricky software issue, legacy systems, crafting seamless integrations, or bringing a new idea to life, I'm the person who thrives on making the impossible look easy—and having fun while doing it.
Long History
I've spent years working with technologies like Python, Go, and JavaScript, and even diving deep into microcontroller development, in formal corporate giants as well a startups. If it's got code, circuits, or moving parts, I want to figure out how to make it better, faster, and smarter. I specialize in connecting systems that were never meant to talk to each other, automating processes and system architecture.
Variety of Experience
When it comes to infrastructure, I've tamed the wild west of networks using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Docker. From building rock-solid cloud systems to troubleshooting enterprise environments, I've done it all with a mix of strategy, creativity, and an eye for detail.
High Speed, High Stakes
My work has supported everything from secure payment systems to real-time telemetry for high-speed racing, and let me tell you, watching data fly by at 200 mph is as thrilling as it sounds. If you've used a credit card online in the past two decades, chances are my work was humming away in the background ensuring it was smooth and secure and deter crooks.
Networking & Communications
My journey through networking technologies reads like a history of the internet itself. From working with token-ring networks in their twilight years to designing modern high-speed interconnect solutions, I've had my hands in every layer of the networking stack. I've implemented complex IPv6 migrations, designed and deployed dynamic routing protocols, and architected network security solutions that keep the bad guys out while letting the good traffic flow.
When it comes to voice communications, I've bridged the gap between old and new - maintaining legacy PBX systems while building modern VoIP solutions. I've designed and implemented large-scale contact centers handling millions of calls, developed custom IVR solutions that actually help customers instead of frustrating them, and created unified communications platforms that bring everything together seamlessly. Through it all, I've maintained a deep understanding of both the fundamental protocols and the latest innovations in networking technology.
Hardware
Oh, and hardware? That's my playground, too. I've designed custom sensors, built unique hardware-software integrations, and even filed patents for one-of-a-kind solutions. One of my favorite projects was building a wireless sensor network before it was trendy—proof that I like to stay ahead of the curve and set trends, not follow them. Read more about me in my resume.
What else?
Beyond the tech, I'm all about collaboration. I love breaking down complex concepts into bite-sized pieces, whether I'm training a team on Python or guiding a non-technical client through a solution. My approach is simple: combine enthusiasm with expertise, and great things happen.
Let's Talk
I'm excited about the chance to tackle new challenges, create innovative solutions, and contribute to projects that make a real difference. If you're looking for someone who can blend technical know-how with creative thinking—and maybe crack a joke or two along the way—let's talk. I'm confident we can build something amazing together.
